Finished What I Talk About When I Talk About Running (thanks to Balqis Tsabita Azkiya).

Murakami has been running for decades, competing in one marathon a year, and his journey to me sounded like a battle against pain. Legs that don’t follow orders, the right knee that hurts, being kicked by someone else during a triathlon.

At 31 years old, I’m content that overall I’m painless. I do get tired and stressed, but no prolonged physical pain comes to my mind when I give it a thought. I don’t know how long it will be before I start to feel pain on a regular basis, so that I cherish this painless period of my life even more.

Just think about it. Probably the majority of our lifetime will be accompanied by pain and it’s a major topic in life to battle or learn to live with pain. My dad suffers from leg and heel pain, which makes it hard for him to climb stairs efficiently. So if you don’t feel any pain now, I suppose you are already living the best of your life.
